What Causes White Vaginal Discharge With Foul Odor?
About a month ago I noticed a funky, rather foul smelling translucent white discharge coming from my vagina. This smell has not gone away, and recently the discharge has been causing itching when it comes into contact with my upper inner thighs and uncomfortable chafing and rawness as a result. I have not seen a doctor yet as I am still awaiting an appointment.
Based on the symptoms you have described, it appears that you are having yeast infection of the vagina. You need to be treated with antifungal cream and pessary. Along with it you need to take care of genital hygiene.
You need to wear loose fitting undergarments preferably made of cotton and abstain from sexual activities till the symptoms subside completely. Kindly consult a gynecologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Ashakiran S
