What Causes White Tissue Like Growth Under The Frenulum Of Tongue?

So under the frenulum of my tongue there appears to be a piece of skin attached with a bit of white on it that I have never noticed before. I have today noticed that I have been developing a bit of a sore throat, and tenderness when I press from underneath my neck. Do you have any idea of what it is?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems like there is traumatic injury to the frenulum of tongue leading to ripping of the mucosa that is appearing hanging and does not seems to be anything serious..
Sore throat seems to be due to throat infection while tenderness in neck can be due to swollen lymph nodes secondary to infection..
Nothing to worry, you can start doing warm saline gargles and steam inhalations..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen for relief from pain and inflammation..
Suck throat lozenges..
In case if the skin tag is also painful you can apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine over it..
In case of no improvement in 3 to 4 days consult an Oral physician and get the skin tag evaluated and for no improvement in throat pain consult an ENT Expert and get evaluated and he can advise antibiotics for relieving infection..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
