What Causes White Spots On Upper Lips?

hallo >> my name is Dany >> i am 25 yrs << i have white spots on my upper lips (left side) , very small , No pain , only u can see it if u spreated by your hands, its under the surface , it is not on the top of my lips >> i ask a doctor a bout that and he say its something normal and he gaive me Alfacort cream (Composition : Hydrocortisone 1.0% w/w) >> i used for 7 days but no thing change .. now 2 months and this white spots still on my lips and now 3 small white spots appear on right side .. anyway i come bake to a doctor then he told me same thing it is normal and need to warry a bout it .. and no need for treatment .. i ask him it can be infection ? he say No .. i want to know what is that ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain white spots on the upper lip that are so small and are visible only after stretching the lips with fingers and are present under the skin seems to be Fordyce's Spots or Fordyce's Granules that are slightly raised sebaceous glands and are not pathological but are normal anatomical structures..
You need not to worry about it will remain in its place and will not cause any problem..
In case if you want to get it removed, it is needed only if it disturbs the cosmetic appearance..
In case if it interrupts with the appearance you can get them removed with lazer treatment, but it does not seems needed in your case..
