What Causes White Spots On Back Of Throat And Painful Ear?
I think I may have strep throat, but I m not sure. It looks like I have the white spots in the back of my throat but it looks like there are some brown ones as well. I have a terrible ache in my left ear that started today and it feels like I have swimmers ear...but it hurts worse. It s causing my neck to hurt right below it. And makes my head hurt. Another problem I have, is that it feels like I have something stuck in the passageway between my nose and mouth. But when I blow my nose nothing large comes out and sometimes nothing at all. And then there s other times where a brownish mucus will come out. What exactly is wrong with me? And how do I get rid of this?
Hello. Welcome to hcm. I think you might have a steptococcal infection of throat called acute follicular tonsillitis. It might have gone to your ear causing infection there called acute otitits media. I suggest you to consult the doctor right away who will take a throat swab, see for total count for infection and put you on antibiotics if necessary. Avoid cold beverages, do salt water gargling for temporary relief and stop blowing your nose. All the best
