Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, my son has had a fever up to 103.2 for the past couple of days. Saw Dr + ER visit - u/a and strep came back negetive. Diagnosis was fever. Noticed tonight that my son has a white coated tongue. He should probably be seen tomorrow, yes? What might this be?
Thanks for posting your query to HCM. It is probably colonisation of bacteria on the tongue. You should use a tongue cleaner to scrape it out and drink plenty of fluids. Visit your treating doctor for proper examination who will prescribe the necessary medicines after thorough check up. Hope my answer will help you.
