Hello,
White bumps on the back of the tongue are commonly indicative of
oral thrush, take care of your
oral hygiene, it should go away by it own. If not you should take a course of
fluconazole orally. Such symptoms may also be indicative of
leukoplakia, that can be treated with
laser therapy, freezing procedure, etc.
Sometimes, it is indicative of cancer. You are suggested to quit tobacco or addictions if any. Get all investigations done and you will be treated accordingly. Get clinically examined by an ENT, you may need a course of antibiotics/antivirals, few blood tests, biopsy etc., to detect the pathology and get the treatment started at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
