What Causes Wheezing And Cough?

I had a cough with wheezing for about 10 days with thick yellow mucous that s now clear and thick and a little wheezing still. I started blowing my nose in the last 24 hours and that is thick and yellow. A couple of days ago, my left ear crackled and popped whenever I blew my nose; now it seems plugged as I can t hear out of it too well. I still have a cough though not as frequently or violently when I do. I ve been taking OTC Mucinex D since Sunday AM (only in the morning) and Flonase nose spray at night since Sunday evening. Am I getting this illness back again only in a different form?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to an upper respiratory tract infection. I suggest you to use anti inflammatory medications such as Aleve three times a day, drink liquids and rest. If the symptoms continue prescribed antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
