What Causes Wet Sensation In Lower Leg?

Once a day or so for the past week or two it feels like water is lightly sprinkled, wiped, dropped or sprayed on my lower leg. When I touch the area on my leg, it sometimes does actually feel wet, but I don t think it ever really is. What is causing this sensation? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
This sounds like what's called a peripheral neuropathy--a nerve inflammation problem.

You need to have a doctor check this out and I would check you for diabetes, a liver or kidney problem, and I would get nerve conduction studies to further define exactly what's going on.
I find this answer helpful
