General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to acid reflux which cause throat irritation. One of the common causes can be the use of Percocet which is an anti inflammatory medication. So, I recommend to use antacids such as Maalox three times a day. I also suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg daily in the morning before breakfast.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
