Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Doctor, I recently started working out. I am 24. I have always had weak shoulders. After a recent session my left shoulder/upper traps area felt really weird and swollen even though I was doing chest exercises. Now two days later I am having a weird sensation in my neck above my left collarbone but it doesnt really hurt. Just feels like something in there/kind of heavy. Should I be worried or is this normal muscle weakness? Went to my doctor he just gave me painkillers.
Hello, Thanks for the query. i have seen the details. In my opinion the symptoms are due to the workout that is being done. Some pain killers and a bit of a rest should do good. But later you will have to continue the workout regularly. Muscle do tend to hurt when one begins the exercising newly. But everything settles down quite well after regular exercise for over a week or two. My suggestion is you should continue doing the exercises regularly. If need be do them under the supervision of a trained professional. Thanks.
