What Causes Weight Gain Around The Abdomen?

Hi can I ask just a few things, about my body changes , I ve gain weight just a little in my belly as to where the embryo develops I m not quite sure this may be my first though I m so scared I don t know what s going on, its been two weeks since last ovalation an I ve done a test an it showed negative, so I achieved to do a homemade pregnancy test itself , and the chemicals in my urine has changed , like the surgar urine test, the surgar is supposed to dissolve, as with my it has not, it has gathered itself at the bottom of the bowl an not made any changes, I know its not 100% accurate but my minds been over thinking .

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

Pregnancy tests generally do not come positive 2 weeks after ovulation but at least 3 weeks after ovulation which is the week when you loose a menstrual period so it is very likely you will need to wait another few days to have another pregnancy test. I would recommend you to have the standard urine pregnancy test (that you buy in the pharmacy) as they are the most accurate.

So to conclude i would recommend you to wait another 3-4 days, take the first urine in the morning and do a urine pregnancy test (using the kit bought in the pharmacy). This will increase the chances of it coming out positive if you are pregnant.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Antoneta Zotaj, MD
