General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Weight gain is a natural phenomenon in pregnancy. Hence, you need not be worried much about it.
The movements what you want to know about is called 'quickening'. Quickening is the first perception of fetal movements (baby kick) by the mother. It could happen anytime between 16 to 20 weeks of pregnancy. In primigravida (pregnancy occurring for the first time) it could happen little late and in multigravida (pregnancy occurring subsequently) it could happen little early.
Kindly keep your antenatal checkups proper.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
