What Causes Weight Gain Along With Abdominal Bloating And Fatigue?

I had what i thought was my period last week it was light with no clotting and brown. It only lasted 2 days and then spotting. I have gained 2 pounds in 4 days, bloating, fatigue, headaches, and mood swings. I took a pregnancy test and it said invalid and then another said negative. Could i be pregnant?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted your history related to less than normal menstrual flow, negative pregnancy tests, mood swings, weight gain, bloating, fatigue. First of all consult your Gynecologist and get the blood tests also done to rule out pregnancy.

Ultrasonography of abdomen and X-ray of abdomen will help to find or rule out any gastro related problems. Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon to watch for abdominal conditions and CT scan of abdomen to see for the possible cause.

Once the cause is found then it would be possible to decide the mode of management. It is better not to make anything late.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
