Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am female 82 yrs old. I BECOME VERY WEAK STANDING FOR EVEN 3 KOR 4 MIN. FEELING LIKE I MIGHT FAINT. BLOOD PRESSURE SEEMS OK when I check blood sugar is OK I have Parkinson s and take medication for this. some time I become nausea and even vomit. Feeling weard in the head like it don t belong to me. sleep has become hard wake often during the night
It is possible that the blood pressure reading itself is ok but that there is a decrease in your standing blood pressure when compared to you sitting or lying BP. This drop in blood pressure on standing is called orthostatic hypotension.
You may want to determine if this is the case by visiting your doctor for assessment. There are different possible causes such as dehydration, side effect of medication, heart disease, may also be related to parkinsons.
There is general treatment then treatment directed towards any specific cause found. General treatment involves ensuring good fluid intake, standing slowly
I hope this helps
