What Causes Warm Sensation On The Cheeks?

Hello, All day today, my cheeks have been hot. They lightly throb, and it hurts to touch them. My sinuses are completely clear and I am feeling great other than this cheek pain. Yesterday, I did have a disco gram to diagnose a couple torn discs. I was given an antibiotic during the procedure (levaquin because I m allergic to PCN). Any ideas on what might be causing the cheek heat and pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

1)Do a clinical examination by your Neurologist

2)Do MRI scan to confirm the diagnosis.

3)Discuss with your treating doctor about a drug [carbamazepine]and take it regularly.

To prevent it do take soft foods and try to avoid foods that are too cold or hot.

Hope that helps
