What Causes Vomiting Up Of Green Phlegm?

My son has been vomitting daily - multiple times since the beginning of December. He has now started vomitting green. He has been to multiple doctors and had multiple tests ran, but nothing can be found. He is weak from not being able to eat and is now complaining of back pain and pain in his upper abdomen. Suggestions on what to do next. He has been to the ER and was told tests were normal to go home

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The age of your child is not mentioned and test done not detailed. If you expect good treatment it is always good to be more detailed in giving history.

Vomiting could be due to post nasal drip or bilious vomiting or due to gastrointestinal problems like reflux gastritis or obstruction.

This needs to be evaluated and treated by gastroenterologist. Give him bland diet and more probiotics but no sugars and spices.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rama Kumari
