What Causes Vomiting Three Days After Tooth Extraction?

Hello, I had a my wisdom taken from my left side(up and bottom aswell) this past Tuesday May 26 and I had local anesthesia with about like 6-8 needles of anesthesia because I was able to feel when my teeth were getting pulled out. And well now my question is, is it normal to keep throwing up still (3 days after the extraction) I can't seem to keep food down at all. Please get back to me.

Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain vomiting following three days extraction is not a normal finding and it can be most probably as a side effect of the antibiotics or painkillers given to you after the extraction..

Vomiting is seen as a side effect of antibiotics and painkillers after extraction due to stomach upset and digestion issues..

I would suggest you to consult your dentist and get evaluated and in case it is happening due to medication reduction in dose or change of medicine is advisable..

I would also suggest you to drink plenty of water and other liquids to prevent dehydration caused due to water loss caused due to vomiting..
You can also take anti-emetics which can relieve in reducing the vomiting episodes like Avomin.
Taking Pantoprazole 40 mg empty stomach can be helpful..
Take soft and light food..

Hope this information helps..
