I had an episode of vomiting blood and eliminating black stool this February in 2017, after going to the nearest Er at 3 Am in the morning, I was rushed into a room where I waited for someone from GI to come and look at me. I was told I would have to stay overnight where they would be able to do a lab work up, I was released the next day with instructions to make appt for an endoscopy as an out patient. Well I did in early part of April, I had to get over the fear of what would be found, and also have the other tests suggested such as a complete abdomen x-rays and of the liver and kidneys, I am also a type 2 diabetic insulin depended. I always for the last several years felt nausea after eating, was told by my PC, it was Gerd. Many years past while taking nexium, zantac, and many more things of the same nature, the head came early that morning in February 2017, after taking the endoscopy, I found out I had 4 (four ) very large polyps in my stomach. I also was told the reason for the vomiting of blood is they are pretty sure they bumped each other to cause the bleed, I also was told it was not a lot of blood ( but it scared the heck out of me with the clots, My question I never knew you were able to get polyps in your stomach, it was like a tree with 2 branches and 2 very large polyps on each branch also affecting my breathing, since then I learned women can also have them in their vagina . After taking care of the problem now in December of 2017, I feel great still a little nausea at times but the removal of the polyps and the medication they gave me I feel better than I have in years, can this happen again and how can I tell ?
