What Causes Vomiting In A Child After Starting Formula Milk?
my daughter started milk last week. she is 1 year. she is fussy and not acting right when on it. she is on emfamil premium formula. the doc told us to just take her off it. when we did and just gave her milk she didn't take naps and cried a lot. she was not a happy baby. I tried doing half formula and half milk today. she is spitting up small curds a few times today. any idea what it may be?
Hello, When one on my new mum's would have this problem when introducing milk I suspect one or both of the following: allergy to cow's milk or lactose intolerance. But she tolerated the same ingredients in Enfamil Premium. Enfamil also has DHA ( an omega3 fatty acid), probiotics and vitamins.
I suggest continuing what you are doing and gradually try to get her on full fat vitamin A and D milk. Many babies need additional vitamin droplets, check with doctor.
It is normal to be picky at your baby's age. No worry. Baby needs less milk now because of getting calories from other foods. And, drinking from a cup comes about now. Your little one is growing up.
I hope you can relax now. Good Luck! Kathy Shattler, MS,RDN
