What Causes Vomiting After A Abdominal Myomectomy?

Hi I just have abdominal myomectomy and small intestines obstruction surgical intervention performed and been vomiting. At first it was the abdominal myomectomy which follows by vomiting before detecting obstruction after scan. Then the small intestines surgery was done to remove blockage but still vomit the following day. can this drugs ONDANSETRON help me/ what is your suggestions. Thanks were are poor and can not afford to pay this fee at this time. can we have a waver. Thanks.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Since there is a history of abdominal surgery for intestinal obstruction and myometctomy the possible cause of vomiting can be related to the intestinal obstruction due to adhesion or so.
This can be diagnosed by the following:
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
CT scan of the abdomen if needed.
Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon.
All these will lead to a proper diagnosis.
Three days of conservative management with nil orally, iv fluids may helps to resolve the issue and if the problem still persist you may need an exploratory abdominal surgery to find the cause and get the problem surgically corrected.
Rush to ER if the problem is severe as vomiting can cause dehydration and electrolyte imbalance.
