What Causes Vision Blackouts And Dizziness?

My husband has had blackout episodes in the night. He gets up to go to the restroom, and its like he falls asleep while he is either using the bathroom or walking back to the bed. This has happened about 5 or 6 times in the last 3 months. He says he has a pinch in his neck that makes him dizzy but he loses total consciousness. I think there is something else wrong. I do not care for his regular physician. He is a type 2 diabetic, he has neuropathy on his feet, hes in pain most of the time. Can you give me an idea what to tell the doctor to look for or what type of specialist he should see.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
in your case it seems , blackouts and other complaints are correlated with underlying disease diabetes, so it is very much necessary to keep blood sugar level in controlled range ,
as your husband is known case of nuerophathy (underlying diabetes) it's better to approach nuerologist with the past details of physician.
I hope you happy with information, kindly rate it . thank you .
