What Causes Violent Spasms And Tremors In Legs?

please Doctor , my first son will be 5 in a few months time . he suffers from some kind of spasm that makes him jerk violently like he is convulsing. he suffers a withered right leg and left leg and am afraid the condition is rather deteriorating and he hardly talks these days. he used to be hyper active in the past but these days he is too quiet and hardly can make an intelligible statement. He staggers and cant maintain a steady balance. he smtms prefares to crawl at that age. His sight makes me weep everyday because am helpless and the doctors here arent sure how this case could be tackled. please help me he has even been asked to stop attending the regular school system.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, in my opinion you should immediatly consult a pediatric neurologist. He may want to do a neuro imaging and an EEG for him. He may have CNS infection or some neuro degenerative condition.
