What Causes Vertigo And Weakness After Having Lexapro And Tramadol?

I don t know what to do. My primary care Dr. precribed Lexapro and Tramadol and for the last year I have been very ill with vertigo, dizziness, got weaker and weaker, she sent me to a Pysychiatrist and he said that most of the symptoms were from the two together, contraindicated, deadly, stop asap, I had a terrible reaction. Should I go to another Dr. now... my email address is YYYY@YYYY

thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

lexapro or escitalopram has a major drug interaction with tramadol...it can lead to serotonin syndrome and can cause hallucination, palpitation, seizures, sweating, blurred vision, vomiting etc...these two drugs should not be taken together....
go to your psychiatrist and get the combination changed...that will solve all the problems you are experiencing...

hope this was helpful....
regards
