What Causes Vertigo After Replacement Of Shoulders?

Hi. I am having balance issues. I have none or minimal cartilage in my knees. There is no one thing that I do that causes the issue. Background: asthma, gastric bypass(2006), both shoulders have been totally replace.. Since the gastric bypass, I have lost 132 lbs. I have the usual batwings on my upper arm and a large pannis that I would love to lose. I was hospitalized in January for a large adhesion and ascites, and in February, I had surgery for the placement of a stent on the superior mesentric artery in an attempt to slow down the rush of blood through the other arteries. I stumble so often that I don t get up on my feet very often. I have fallen several times and mostly bruising/hematimas is the result. I have also broken the humerus(L) as the injury after falling. Do I call and make an appoiment with my ENT or my neurologist?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Consult a physician and get evaluated. It is not related to shoulder and maybe something else.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
