Hello I lost my pregnancy(4weeks) on 13/06 i had severe bleeding 3 weeks I did a vaginal ultrasound as til now I m spotting, my dr told me that there is a remaining part in z uterus and gave me medicine to get it out Now I m asking after 7 weeks does miscarriage take this huge period?? When my ovulation will be normal again Thanks in advance
First trimester abortions do result in heavy bleeding. After miscarriage, you need to take care of your general health. Take nutritious food rich in minerals (calcium, iron, etc). Take protein-rich food.
If you are planning for a baby take care of your general health. Wait & take rest for 3-4 weeks. Let your hormones levels return to normal, start getting a normal cycle. Stay away from stress & anxiety.
Thereafter, you can try for a baby again. If you conceive, avoid doing heavy work & stay at rest to avoid any vaginal spotting or bleeding. You should get connected to your gyne if you conceive.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
