What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Unprotected Intercourse?

Hi, my girlfriend and I had unprotected sex last March 10. I pulled out early, a bit further before I climax. I didn t climax outside either. Then around March 24, she started spotting on and off, and it eventually got heavier (but not as heavy as her usual period. However she s also irregular) and lasted until around April 2. We took 3 home pregnancy test with 25 mul sensitivity on March 27, 30, and April 3, all of which were negative. At this point what is the chance that she may be pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Relax for now, as it doesn't seem that your partner could have conceived.
The reasons are as follows:
1. Since your partner has spotted and got heavier later, it seems that she has got her periods during that time.
2. Also, if her periods are irregular, it would make things difficult to conceive.
3. You have not ejaculated entirely inside and pulled out during the act.
4. Pregnancy tests taken are all negative.
Kindly wait for her another cycle to happen, and that would confirm that she is not pregnant.
However, if you are still in doubt, she can take an ultrasound scan and that would tell the status.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
Regards,
