What Causes Vaginal Spotting After Taking Emergency Contraceptive Pills?

Iam 21 years old . I had sex on 2 april and we used a condom but there was some fluid in it so i took an emergency pill as a precaution now after 8-9 days iam experiencing mild bleeding but my periods are due around 20 april and it is too early . This spotting or blood flow is very mild not like periods . Can you tell me what s wrong ? Am i pregnant? Will i get normal periods thisbweek?

Hi, I think it is a very common thing to get slight bleeding after taking emergency pill. It can be withdrawal bleed. So, don't worry about it. It will go away. If your periods get delayed, do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. If negative, you can wait for one more week and repeat the test. If negative, you can take some medicines like meprate or deviry for inducing periods.
