What Causes Vaginal Pain During Intercourse Post Usage Of Lubricant?

Hi there, Recently I started using Trojan Lubricant with my partner. I have noticed that sex has become painful after using it. I was able to look through a mirror and saw that I have some type of stretch marks inside the lips of my female parts. I have stopped using the lubricant but they won t go away. What can I do?

Hi,

Though the side effects with vaginal lubricant are very rare and by and large these are safe to be used. However, in some cases, these may cause irritation of the skin or feeling of vaginal burning. Also, as these lubricants are having greater osmolality than the normal vaginal lining cells.

Hence, the frequent use or use in excessive volume may damage the lining of vaginal cells, which may make them more liable to injury of the tissues as well as more liable to infections and STD due to broken continuity of the tissue lining.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
