What Causes Vaginal Itching During Pregnancy?

I m 35 weeks pregnant and have itching down there. It s very uncomfortable. My dr said it was a yeast infection but she didn t swab me she just examined me. The prescription isn t helping. Should I be concerned about it being something more serious than a yeast infection?

Hi,

If there is no relief in itching after medication there are two causes. The oral medicines and local care you are taking seem to be insufficient. In case there is recurring problem..you need a longer treatment. Treatment of spouce is also necessary to avoid recurrence. Please consult your doctor to discuss the things and get a specific prescription.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
