What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Post Intercourse?

hi, i m 53 and the past two times my husband and i have had sex i have had bleedng. i haven t had a period in 5 years. he is very easy and nothing wild goes on..just saying. but i haven t had a pap smear or pelvic exam in almost 10 years due to financial meltdown. nothing hurts or seems to be torn or cracked. i dont have a problem with pain or dryness. we are pretty active in this area and this just started. anything would be helpful, thank you so much...signed, worried

You need to consult a gynecologist.

As per the description of events in your case, considering your age and lack of menses for the last 5 years there may be possibilities of either Atophic vaginitis ( inflammation of vagina due to lack of oestrogen) or may be some serious problem like polyps or cancer of the uterus. So, you have to see a gynecologist for your proper check up like general examination, pelvic examination and the relevant investigations as to be advised by the doctor.
Hope it should not be a serious problem
