What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Post Insertion Of Polygynax Pessary?

Hello, After inserting Polygnax Pesary to treat my Candidasis, I have noticed some watered-down Vaginal bleeding. It also caused an extreme burning sensation in my vagina area and vulva that kept me up for half the night. This was my first dose and based on this should I discontinue treatment or soldier on and are these perhaps symptoms of other issues?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
I believe that the bleeding goes is due to thhe Inflammation caused by the Infection.
It is also possible that you may have injured yourself while applying the pessary.

I recommend that you consult your OBGYN for an internal exam and see if the current mode of treatment is appropriate.
Use cool water to soothe the irritation and burning sensation. Do not spray water in your vagina.

Avoid sexually intercourse till you get better.
Hope this helps. Hope you feels better
