What Causes Vaginal Bleeding Every Time After Having Sex?

I m a woman close to turning 35. I recently had sex with my partner after 5 long years. I did not have a sexual intercourse in the interim period. However, this time every time he penetrated me, I started bleeding. Sometimes little but sometimes a lot. I ve had sex with him before and never faced this problem. Please help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to HCM,
I read your query carefully.
As per details,
There could be many reasons of this,
-Aninfection, such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), or a sexually transmitted infection (STI), such as chlamydia
-vaginal dryness (atrophic vaginitis)
-cervical or endometrial polyps
-cervical ectropion (also known as cervical erosion), where there is an inflamed area on the surface of the cervix
So i would like to advise you to
> visit your gynaecologist for your complete pelvic examination
> Get your TVS (trans vaginal sonography) done.
After scan and examination can tell whats going in there.
Hope so it will be helpful.
You can write again in case of any query or follow up.
Wish you Good health.
Regards
