General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As a physician I would like to tell you that vaginal spotting in early pregnancy is quite common and often harmless. It will usually stop within a day or two. So you need not to worry about it much. I would also like to tell you that you should visit your Obgy doctor if you continue to experience the spotting ever after 2 to 3 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
