General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Vaginal bleeding after sexual intercourse could be due to rough sex (mechanical trauma), vaginal infection, polyp, cervix/endometrium dysplasia, cervicitis. For safer side, I would suggest to consult gynecologist and under go vaginal examination, vaginal swab test, USG scan, PAPS smear if needed.

Specific treatment will depend on cause. For mechanical trauma: you can take warm water sitz bath with added betadine for faster healing. For vaginal infection: vaginal suppository of clingen and lactobacillus is required. Maintain proper pelvic hygiene by using V vaginal plus wash. Avoid rough sex, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
