Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First of all you get a urine pregnancy test done to confirm whether you are pregnant or not. Get it done with two different kits. There can be a remote possibility of threatened abortion in your case, in case you are pregnant.

You also get a urine analysis done to see if there is any urinary tract infection. In case there is you need to take a course of antibiotics, but more importantly you need to make sure you are not pregnant.

If the bleeding is persisting for more than the usual period of your normal menses, then kindly consult a gynecologist who may do a per vaginal examination and also an ultrasonography of the abdomen.

Make sure that your partner is not having any infection which may transmit to you sexually.

Make sure he uses condoms every time so that there is no chance of STDs which an also present as bleeding. Though you are using birth control pills, but it will not protect you from STDs. Moreover there are chances of weight gain unless you are physically very active.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
