What Causes Urinary Retention?

i was admitted to the hospital Tuesday with a high fever and bladder problems. My bladder wasn t emptying. I spent 3 days in the hospital. I left with a Foley. Shortly after I returned home it started leaking and I returned to have that fixed. Yesterday, I again had problems; I was passing more blood than urine and my blood pressure was 210/? I went back to ER and they drained almost a liter of urine from my bladder.Today I awakened around 7 and drained about 700 ml s. I currently have 100 ml in the bag. I am passing urine but it is not flowing into the tube or the bag since 10 or so. Where is the urine going?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if there no urine formation in kidney then one can not find urine out put, so it is advisable to increase the water intake normally 2.5 litter water should go in system within 4 hours, even after that no urine seen then it could be renal pathology and that needs to be treated, hope this information helps
