Hello, I am 47 years old. I m physically fit and healthy. I m in a relationship with a younger man, aged 39. my period was due more than a week ago. my periods have been normal up until now. I m experiencing frequent urination, loss of libido, and some vaginal discomfort. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. The change from last month to this is very concerning! Hi,

This might be an initial symptom of menopause which is associated with delayed and decreased menstrual flow and increased risk of urinary tract infection. Estrogen vagina cream would help prevent recurrent infection. Current Infection episode has to be managed with antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Safarulla SH
