What Causes Upper And Lower Abdominal Pain During Periods?

Hi my friend started her period yesterday morning and she said it was heavy and this afternoon she started to feel upper and lower abdominal pain which she has been sleeping a lot of the day and she is starting to bleed lighter and lighter each time she goes to the restroom so can you tell me what s wrong with her so I can take her to the doctors in the morning

I appreciate your health concern for your friend
The symptoms you are describing are not very uncommon.This does happen sometimes.Tell her to take a painkiller like acetaminophen twice which stops the pain and also decreases the amount of bleed.
If she keep on bleeding heavily or experiences same symptoms in next cycle,you can take her to gynecologist then
Stay healthy
