What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain?

I am experiencing some pain in my upper abdomen. It gets worse when I attempt to lay on my stomach at night. In addition to the pain, my saliva thins (for lack of a better word to describe) and begins to run. I can stand over the bathroom sink and the water will just run out of my mouth. I am not able to swallow the fluid. What could this be?

Its Gastroesophageal Reflux disease causing reflux of the stomach acid through food pipe straight into the mouth and throat. It causes all the symptoms which you are facing.
I usually treat such patients with Capsule Omeprazole40mg twice daily before meals. Plus, Tablet Itopride10mg three times a day before meals. Syrup Mucaine before meals 2TSF 3times a day. This treatment regimen will continue for two weeks. Plenty of fluids. High fiber diet and fruits.

May you get very well soon and have a wonderful time ahead. Please don't forget to give your valuable feedback and five star rating, to help me assist you in a better way. Click at 'I Find This Answer Helpful' & give a five Stars too. Write a review about your experience with me.
