What Causes Upper Abdominal Pain In A Child?

Hi I have a 4year old... Tough boy, never complains when he gets hurt etc..... But i am really concern. 2nights ago he complained about tummy ache underneath left rib.... Thought indigestion Then again last night... But toninght it is worse What can it be? What can ido?

Pain on the left side of the abdomen may be related to the stomach, bowel in this aspects, spleen.
These are the structures in this area that may contribute the pain.

Pain may also be related to overlying structures such as the muscle.

It would be best, since the pain is worsening, that he is taken to see a doctor for assessment.
The only way to conclusively determine the source of the pain would be physical examination of the abdomen.
