What Causes Ulcers At The Back Of The Throat?

painful sores in back of throat. no other symptoms. woke up this morning with the inability to swallow. my girlfriend had the same thing and it went away within two days with no treatment. I was seeing in the clinic today no fever normal blood blood pressure they didn t do a culture test just assumed it was strep and sent us on our way with antibiotics. I also have a mark on the roof of my mouth.

Many causes for ulcers at the posterior wall like infection or reflux disease or herpes or cmv Infection or hepangina or apthous ulcers etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved you may apply kenokart or dentogel twice a day for five days. Please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
