Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
for the past week both of my eyes have been twitching. i am a type 1 diabetic and wonder if this is related? i am due for a doctors appt once my insurance kicks in but in the mentime i m worried. my vision is fine - i just wear reading glasses and i was diagnosed with a small cataract many years ago that doesn t seem to have gotten any worse. my eyes almost feel like they are throbbing!
It is a simple muscle twitch and will settle by itself. It is not clinically significant and no definitive treatment is required either. In case of persistent symptoms you can seek help from an ophthalmologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
