What Causes Tumor In The Sinus Area?

My 28 year old husband was told he had a tumor in the sinus area. He's been having bleeding from the nose, loss of taste/smell, sinus headaches, congestion, swelling of the eye and it's all been on the left side. What is the prognosis? We are worried and don't see a specialist until Wednesday January 11th. Is there any more information you can give us?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome of HCM.
It is hard to predict prognosis but such tumors are usually very problematic since it is hard to remove it completely and it may infiltrate surrounding tissue very fast. but if this is early stage then it can be removed surgically and chemotherapy and radiotherpy can lead to complete cure.
Thanks for the query. Regards
