What Causes Tremors In The Hands After Hysterectomy?

I am a lady, 63 yrs old, recently had a hysterectomey..Around that time, about 3 months ago, I noticed my right hand and arm shaking. I have suffered w/ neck problems for many yrs.(ruptured discs) My neurologist choose to treat w/medicine. I also have a back problem (discs also from aging) I ve had many MRI s in the last few months and other tests They are concentrating on the back issue first. I ve had one epideural. I have had good success with the pain in my back, and am scheduling #2 I am on lots of medicine. I quit taking Tramadol since it made my hand and arm jerk and tremble more 2 dr s have checked me for Parkinson s. They say it s not that. My Neurologist noticed a small tremor in my right hand around a yr. and half ago. He thought maybe it was some of the medication I was on. The last few months its gotten worse moved to my arms.. Years ago I had pain in my right shoulder, my neurologist then did a Nerve Conduction test, and said the problem was coming from my neck. I used over the door neck traction for a couple of months and it went away. I am sorry I wrote so much. Any Ideas on why my arm and neck are trembling?.. I am worried. I see the neurologist soon. Thanks very much. Paulette i .

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The most common cause of shaking hands is essential tremors. These would get better with propranolol tablets, a beta blocker. Topiramate tablet is also helpful in treating this condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
