What causes tremors in the body?

When I awake in the morning or from a nap, even if I just doze off at my desk, I have a quiver/tremor/shaking all over - head arms torso. As I fully awake, it goes away. It is not shivering from being cold. I also have an occassional jerking twitch; sometimes in my hands or head, but usually in my feet.
