Hello,

Sharp pain at the tip of the tongue with bruise or appearance of a broken blood vessel, can be due to inflammation of the tongue tip causing glossitis. It can be due to tongue bite, that you might be accidentally doing during sleep causing pain and inflammation.

So once consult a dentist and get checked. If it is due to a tongue bite problem, then you will be advised mouth guard or night guard to avoid tongue bite. Also to reduce the pain, you can apply Lidocaine gel over the tongue and do cool compresses over the tongue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
