What Causes Toe Numbness, Nerve Pain And Swollen Ankles Post Spinal Cord Surgery?

I had spinal surgery on Nov.18 and I know to expect some symptoms such as numbing in toes and nerve pain......by my home care nurse is concerned with swelling I am getting on the sides of my ankles......this has me nervous.....they called it edema.....should I be frightened? Other than that my recovery is full speed ahead.

I would suggest mobilisation in this case.walk as much as u can and oedema will subside.nothing to worry given there are no cardiac or kidney related issues
