What Causes Tiredness And Depression After Undergoing Surgery For Anal Fissure?

I had surgery for an anal fissure on March 31. I am still so tired, but only at the end of the day. I look gray and worn out. Is this normal? My surgeon is switching offices, and I m scheduled to see him in May. Just wanted to make sure I am okay. I am not bleeding, my appetite is good, and I am not feeling depressed. Thanks. Melissa

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Take good healthy diet, juices, fruits, antioxidants, multivitamins for a few days whenever they allowed you to eat after operation, if your mood is low, low energy, negative thoughts then you can ask for medication from your attending physician.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
