What Causes Tiny Cuts In Vaginal Area Causing Pain After Having Sex?

Ive been having pain after sex on my gooch area it almost looks like I have tiny paper cuts sometimes. Ive had it for about 2 months I went to my doctor last week and he said all I can do is use more lube but that hasnt worked. I dont have any stds and ive never had this problem before. My boyfriends penis isnt abnormally big or anything I dont understand why all of a sudden this is a problem. Its very frustrating for both of us bc im too sore to have sex as much as wed both like. Ive been reading alot of chat forums with girls that have had the same problem and most of them havent found a way to stop it. Please help!!!!!

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Soreness in vagina could be due to trauma to the vaginal mucosa. I suggest you to avoid sexual intercourse for few days. You can resume sexual contact once soreness disappears.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
