What Causes Tiny Bump On Glossopalatine Arch?

I have a tiny bump on my glassopalatine arch, on the under side, maybe .5-1 cm above the right tonsil. It s roughly the color of the rest of my mouth, but looks maybe a little redder. It feels noticeable but not particularly sore. No fever or anything. I ve had issues with LPR of late. Non-smoker, 35yr old male. What might it be?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have tiny bump on glossopalatine arch which occurs when papillae become irritated and slightly swollen. It could be due to dehydration, stress , hormonal changes or acidic and spicy food. You should do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. It generally doesn’t require treatment and resolves within two weeks. apply dologel on finger an drub on them slightly. Maintain good oral hygiene and drink plenty of water. If condition doesn't get better in few days then consult oral pathologist for proper checkup and start treatment after proper diagnosis. Drink plenty of water. Take diet rich in multivitamins.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
